SETUP.BAT - This is a batch file that automatically sets up your hard drive.
It makes a directory called "C:\ZILCH" and copies ZILCH.EXE and
ZINSTALL.EXE to that directory. It does not change your path.
FLOPPY.DOC - This file contains special information for users without a hard
drive. It explains how to extract the users manual to a separate
diskette. Please read this file if you do not want to install Zilch on
your hard drive.
ORDERFRM.DOC - This file contains the registration form used to register your
evaluation copy of Zilch v1.10. Instruction for printing this form are
found inside the README.DOC file on your diskette.
PACKAGE.DOC - This file contains a complete list of files included in the
Zilch v1.10 software package. If you did not receive all these files
please let the author know where you received your diskette from.
README.DOC - This file contains a quick explanation of Zilch v1.10. It also
describes what shareware is and tells you how to register your evaluation
copy of Zilch.

VENDOR.DOC - This file contains notes and restrictions pertaing to the
distribution of Zilch by diskette vendors.

file contains graphics characters and boxes. To get the best results make
sure your printer is configured to print graphics characters. Registered
users receive a perfect bound copy of this file. (80 pages)

ZILCH.EXE - This is a copy of Zilch the debt liquidation program. This program
is designed to help you get out of debt as quickly as possible. The
financial information you enter can be saved, retrieved and changed as
often as you like.
ZINSTALL.EXE - This is the installation program for Zilch. With this program
you can customize the screen colors to any of the 16 available colors.
Zinstall displays a scaled down version of the screens you will see in
Zilch. What you see in Zinstall, you will see in Zilch. You also define

Making a Backup of Your Diskette
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Making a working copy of your distribution diskette.
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Before you begin using Zilch make a working copy of your distribution diskette.
For our purposes I am going to refer to the drive that contains your
distribution diskette as drive A.
Copying with 1 disk drive
Have a blank formatted diskette ready for use. Place the distribution diskette
in drive A. Type "diskcopy" and press <Enter>. Your screen should look like
this:
A:> diskcopy
Insert SOURCE diskette in drive A:
Press any key when ready . . .
Your computer will prompt you to replace the source diskette with a target
diskette.
Copying with 2 disk drives
Place the distribution diskette in Drive A and the blank formatted diskette in
Drive B. Type "diskcopy a: b:" and press <Enter>. Your screen should look
like this:
A:> diskcopy a: b:
Insert SOURCE diskette in drive A:
Insert TARGET diskette in drive B:
Press any key when ready . . .
Your computer will notify you when the diskcopy is complete.
Place your original diskette in a safe place and always use the working copy
that you just made. There is a $5.00 charge for ordering a replacement
diskette.

Setting up a Hard Drive
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Installing Zilch on your hard drive.
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
There are two ways to setup a hard drive. The easiest way is to use the batch
file called SETUP.BAT that comes on your distribution diskette. It will create
a directory called ZILCH and copy the necessary files to that directory. It
does not rename your path.
If you wish to do this yourself make a directory called Zilch. At the C:\
prompt type "md\zilch" and press <Enter>. Type "cd\zilch" and press <Enter>.
Place the distribution diskette in drive A and type "Copy a:z*.exe" and press
<Enter>. This will copy ZILCH.EXE and ZINSTALL.EXE to your hard drive. These
are the only files you need. Your screen should look like this:
C:\> md\zilch
C:\> cd\zilch
C:\ZILCH> copy a:z*.exe
A:ZILCH.EXE
A:ZINSTALL.EXE
2 File(s) copied
C:\ZILCH>
